Boil Water Advisory LIFTED

The Boil Advisory has been lifted on 7/22/2019 per BPU.

On 7/19/2019 a main break was discovered on the old line on Rippon Avenue that still has customers served by it. The water will require to be turned off to this section of water line to allow the repair to be made.  This will result in a boil water advisory for 16 customers when the water is re-supplied. The following addresses will be affected: 59, 60, 63, 64, 65, 66, 68, 69, 73, 74, 76, 77, 79, 80, 83, and 87 Rippon Avenue.

Therefore, a boil water notice will be in effect until two consecutive 24 hour tests come back clear.  Water for consumption or cooking should be boiled for at least 15 minutes.  Bathing and washing clothes should not cause any problems.

The boil water notice will be in effect for as little as 48 hours after the first water sample is taken but may take longer.  Flushing a hose bib outside your home after flow is re-established, till clear, will aid in the clearing of your household lines.

A door hanger or direct contact will notify customers of lifting of the boil water notice.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
