Parks and Recreation
The City of Hillsdale Recreation Department provides a variety of recreational opportunities to the Greater Hillsdale Community. Youth and Adult sports, parks, boating, waterfront activities, beachfront, and 7.5 miles of maintained, multi-use non-motorized trails are among the many recreational opportunities available. Working closely with local organizations and service groups, Hillsdale Recreation is able to keep our community active!
Hillsdale's geographic location gives residents the benefit of enjoying recreational diversity in its parks and places throughout the City. Parks range from dowtown and neighborhoods to waterfront offering a little something for everyone. Mrs. Stock's Park, Sandy Beach, Owen Memorial, Waterworks, Fields of Dreams, Cold Springs, and Keekoose Parks offer any number of activities one might desire: pavilions for gatherings, picnics, summer concerts, outdoor movies, wedding venues, disc golf, swimming, sports, and boating. Reservations are available. Please contact the Recreation Department for details.
Organized sports are available year round for both youth and adults. Registration information is made available on the website, Facebook, schools, and City Hall in Downtown Hillsdale. Open registration is also announced on the local radio station (WCSR) and the local newspaper (Hillsdale Daily News).
Donor Opportunities
The Mrs. Stock's Park Committee, in cooperation with the City of Hillsdale, the Hillsdale Garden club and many volunteers, maintain and restore the 10-acre park, located just down the hill from Hillsdale's city center, using donated funds.
Would you like to help with the restoration and upkeep of this beautiful park for the enjoyment of all in the community? You can make an annual pledge or a one-time gift, and donations are tax deductible. If you wish, you can even designate which fund you want your gift to go to: Maintenance Fund, General Fund or the Roberta Hill Memorial Fund.
To learn more about how to donate to help support Mrs. Stock's Park, please contact Parks and Recreation Director Michelle Loren, or view the current fundraiser letter under the "supporting documents" tab below.
