Boil Water Advisory Notice 11/21/18- Postponed to later date

Boil Water Notice

On 11/21/2018, a valve on Hillsdale Street at Barber Drive will be repaired.  If a repair cannot be made the valve will be replaced and water will be turned off to allow the replacement to occur.

The following addresses will be affected if water is turned off: all of Williams CT 101 through 121, 285 through 339 Hillsdale St., Curtis dining hall, Dow center, Galloway Dorm, 25 Galloway, and the Grewcock,

Therefore, a boil water notice will be in effect until two consecutive 24 hour tests come back clear.  Water for consumption or cooking should be boiled for at least 15 minutes.  Bathing and washing clothes should not cause any problems.

The boil water notice will be in effect for as little as 48 hours after the first water sample is taken but may take longer.  Flushing a hose bib outside your home after flow is re-established, till clear, will aid in the clearing of your household lines.

An announcement on WCSR will be broadcast notifying of the lifted boil water requirement.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
