LIFTED: Boil Water Advisory Notice 11/20/18- Rescheduled for Wednesday, 11/28/18

12/3/18: BOIL WATER NOTICE HAS BEEN LIFTED DIRECT FROM BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES

Boil Water Notice
On 11/28/2018 and 11/29/2018, as part of the Rippon Street infrastructure project, a connection to the new water line on Rippon Street and Westwood Street will be made. Water will be turned off at different times to allow the connections to be made.
The following addresses will be affected: 63 Westwood, 65 through 100 Westwood, 37 through 59 Westwood excluding 54 Westwood, 6 through 40 Norwood, and 53 through 107 Rippon.
Therefore, a boil water notice will be in effect until two consecutive 24 hour tests come back clear. Water for consumption or cooking should be boiled for at least 15 minutes. Bathing and washing clothes should not cause any problems.
The boil water notice will be in effect for as little as 48 hours after the first water sample is taken but may take longer. Flushing a hose bib outside your home after flow is re-established, till clear, will aid in the clearing of your household lines.
An announcement on WCSR will be broadcast notifying of the lifted boil water requirement.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.
