Morry Street, East & West Lynwood Boulevard, and South Howell Street Area Construction Update – 9/16/22

S. Howell Street, from Lynwood Boulevard to the south City Limits (near Orchard Street/Markris Drive), will be closed starting at 7 a.m. Monday, Sept. 19, until end of day Friday, Sept. 23.

This closure is required for construction of the new storm sewer system within Howell and Morry Streets.

Residents living within the closure area should be able to access their driveways most of the time, however, access may be slowed or delayed due to the presence of construction vehicles and equipment.

The City has contacted Modern Waste Systems and curbside trash and recycling collection for residents inside the closure area will continue on their normal schedule.

Anyone needing to access Hillsdale Hospital from south of the city will need to follow the posted detour (E. Bear Lake Road to Steamburg Road to M-99 to E. Hallett Street).

Please do not follow construction vehicles into construction zones.

We understand the frustration these types of closures can cause, but it is necessary for the safety of the workers and the traveling public due to space restrictions while digging within the roadway. Your patience is appreciated during this time.
