Special Brush Collection Notice
Hillsdale’s Department of Public Services will be conducting a citywide brush pickup starting on Monday, June 28, to clean up from the storms that swept through our area over the weekend. This service is for residential properties only.
City residents are instructed to have any brush they want picked up near the curb before 7 a.m. Monday. Crews will perform only one sweep through the city, so brush not left at the curb by that time will not be collected. There will be no exceptions.
DPS can only pick up brush/tree limbs smaller than 8 feet in length and 8 inches in diameter at this time. If a city-owned tree has fallen onto your property, you will need to call DPS at (517) 437-6490 to make arrangements for larger-sized items to be picked up.
Additionally, the City’s brush site on Waterworks Avenue is open to city residents Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. for residential brush drop off. Residents will need to check in at the DPS office on arrival as the gate is locked.
Please do not pile brush around fire hydrants or push it into the street or sidewalk.
