Temporary Closures for Water Valve Replacements on March 27-28, 2024

City contractors and crews are continuing the replacement of water mainline valves in the downtown area this week. Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, through 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024, the following closures will be in effect.

For replacement of Valve #430 and #432 on N. Manning Street and E. Bacon Street, please be advised of the following temporary closures:

- Northbound lane on N. Manning Street from E. Bacon Street to McCollum Street

- Lot H (Library Lower Lot) drive approach for ingress/egress off of N. Manning Street

- Lot C (Midtown Lot) drive approach for ingress/egress off of N. Manning Street

- Eastbound/westbound pedestrian crosswalk on N. Howell Street just north of E. Bacon Street

- Northbound/southbound pedestrian crosswalk on E. Bacon Street just west of N. Manning Street

- No parking on north side of E. Bacon Street from N. Manning Street to N. West Street

For replacement of Valve #273, #274, and #275 near the intersection of Reading Avenue/W. South Street and S. West Street, please be advised of the following temporary closures:

- Southbound lane on Reading Avenue from W. South Street to Frisbie Street

- Eastbound/westbound pedestrian crosswalk on Reading Avenue just south of W. South Street

- Northbound/southbound pedestrian crosswalk on W. South Street just west of Reading Avenue

- Eastbound/westbound pedestrian crosswalk on S. West Street just north of W. South Street

- No parking on east side of Reading Avenue from W. South Street to Frisbie Street

- No parking on north side of W. South Street from S. West Street to 200 feet west of S. West Street

For replacement of Valve #312 on E. Bacon Street at N. Howell Street, please be advised of the following temporary closures:

- Northbound/southbound pedestrian crosswalk on E. Bacon Street just west of Howell Street

- No parking on north and south side of E. Bacon Street from Howell Street west to Mid-Town Alley
